After PCOS, Fibroids & Four Miscarriages
At 41, her fertility journey had already included PCOS, fibroids, diabetes and four miscarriages. Infertility had also taken an emotional toll on her relationships and left her wondering whether motherhood would ever happen for her.

One Tube. One Ovary. She Kept Showing Up.
Her right fallopian tube and ovary had been removed. She was also living with PCOS, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and hypothyroidism.
When she first came to me, I was hesitant to work with her because her situation was complicated and I did not want to give her unrealistic expectations. But she kept coming back. She was determined to give herself a chance.
Eventually I agreed to work with her. Her journey required patience and persistence, and approximately a year later, she had her baby girl.

She Was Told Not to Waste Her Time Trying
She came to me with fibroids and tubal blockage after being told that the condition of her uterus was so concerning that a hysterectomy had been discussed. She had also been discouraged from continuing to try to conceive.
When I reviewed her situation, I told her this was not going to be a quick journey. She would need patience. Her response was simple: “Ma’am, I’m willing to do what I have to.”
About ten months later she began feeling sick, but home pregnancy tests were negative. After her period still did not arrive, I encouraged her to have a blood pregnancy test.
The blood test detected the pregnancy.
